  5. Chances of getting penis cancer – The risk of penis cancer is less in circumcised men. At the same time , the risk of cervical cancer is rarely seen in women undergoing circumcision.

It takes 7-10 days for the penis to recover after surgery. During this time, mild pain as well as other problems like swelling in the penis can be felt. Follow the following tips for proper care:

  • When there is less bleeding, apply pressure on the area with a clean cloth for 10 minutes. However, if the bleeding is high, contact the doctor.
  • The dressing is done after surgery and when the dressing process is complete, then after cleaning the penis with soap and clean water. The dressing is usually done up to 24–48 hours after surgery.
  • Sexual activity should not be done for about 6 to 8 weeks after surgery.
