Masik Dharm – Menstrual discharge is a part of a woman’s menstrual cycle that occurs once every month for a period of about four weeks for 3 to 5 days in which bleeding from one wall of the uterus comes out through the vagina. This blood contains some tissues of the uterus. From the age of 11 to 14 in women, their body starts developing for the beginning of pregnancy preparation, that is, adolescence comes, at this age, the monthly secretion of 3 to 5 days started from about 45 to 52 years of age. Every month happens, due to which it is called menstruation. Keep in mind that in adolescence it should not be understood that she is ready to marry.

Misconceptions and truths about menstruation:

Mythology: During menstruation, the woman becomes inauspicious due to which she should stay away from the kitchen and worship room.

Truth: In reality how inauspicious can be in a natural process, just have to take special care of cleanliness. In India, decades have passed since the rule of untouchability related to caste has passed, but the habit of considering a woman with menstruation as untouchable is yet to be eradicated. Menstruation occurs in that big part of life when a woman is capable of producing children, in these children men are also born, then how can a woman consider fertility-indicator menstruation as a sign of male vengeance.

Myth: During periods, a woman should stay away from sour things, eat tasteless food, and keep resting.

Truth: There is nothing like that. All tastes can be eaten. Just take care of nutrition. Even in Ayurveda, it has been said that every person should include all the six flavors in their every meal (but in natural forms). Menstrual problems:

  1. Non-menstrual periods (ammonia):

If there is no monthly discharge for more than three menstrual cycles, then it is called non-menstrual flow; There are two types of this condition: –

1.1 Primary amenorrhea: 

Non-onset of menstrual discharge at the beginning of adolescence;

1.2 Secondary amenorrhea:

 Initially regular and timely menstrual discharge, but later on becoming abnormal and irregular or stopped.

Possible reasons for not having periods (menstruation) –

If the pregnancy is going on, the infant is breastfed or the menopause is over, then the menstrual flow stops; By the way, it is possible to stop the monthly discharge due to the effect of medicines and the following reasons:

  1. A) Any abnormality in ovulation
    B) Any congenital disorder, anatomical disorder or any other medical condition
    C) Thyroid or any food-related disorder or obesity

 

  1. Dysmenorrhea – Dysmenorrhea can occur due to various body-structural reasons, but there is a possibility of dysmenorrhea in menstrual cycle which started at less than 11 years of age including smoking, drinking, and heavyweight women. Lasts longer. There are some problems in normal menstrual periods as well, but vomiting-diarrhea and fainting are also possible in dysmenorrhea.

  1. Heavy menorrhagia – Menstrual bleeding is more frequent or longer. It is also possible that due to excessive bleeding, the normal functioning of the routine may become difficult. There are many possible reasons for this, such as Hormonal imbalance, a lump in the uterus or any such strange structure, miscarriage or pregnancy in the vicinity of the uterus in the abdomen, kidney, liver or any blood-related disease.

Therapy and Tests related to the Periods:

Treatment of menstrual periods in women:

Ask the gynecologist about the necessary medicines or surgery, but at the home level, the following precautions can be taken:

What is Light Period?

All diseases in Ayurveda are due to imbalance of Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Similarly, problems related to menstruation occurring in women are also the result of an imbalance of defects. This is due to nutritional deficiencies in the diet, and improper lifestyles, or other reasons.

Light Bleeding Symptoms

-This problem is seen more in female athletes because they have more physical exertion and exercise. Reduced bleeding during menstruation is not an independent disease in itself. It is a symptom caused by uterine disorders and hormonal imbalance. Deficiency in menstrual bleeding is seen due to glands in the ovaries, also called Polycystic ovarian syndrome. This disease is more likely to be due to heredity, so the reduced monthly secretion due to this disease can be seen genetically.
